Kanazawa was one of my destinations my first time in Japan, after visiting Hida Takayama. At that point in time, there was no Shinkansen between Tokyo and Kanazawa. I have payed multiple visits to this town, that has so much to offer; among others: the Kenroku-en Garden, the Highashi Chaya and Kazue-macha Districts, the Castle, the D.T. Suzuki Museum (devoted to Daisetz Suzuki, famous for spreading the Buddhist Philosophy to the West), and the  21st Century Museum of Modern Art.
